Joe Milby is a native of Charlottesville and a 1987 graduate of the University of Virginia School Of Engineering. Joe and his wife Lindsay of Sloan Milby have two children, a son and a daughter and live in downtown Charlottesville

David Sloan

David Sloan is a native of Charlottesville and a 1977 graduate of the University of Virginia where he played football and lacrosse and was a member of Zeta Psi Fraternity, Eli Banana, Imp Society and lived on the Lawn as a 4th year.

After a 20 year career as the owner of Sloans Restaurant in Charlottesville, David entered the real estate business in 2000 and has sold over $100,000,000 in real estate, consistently placing him in the Top Producers category in the local Realtor association. In 2008, David left Roy Wheeler Realty Co. and happily formed Sloan Milby Real Estate Partners along with Joe and Lindsay Milby and the success continues.

David and his wife, Kim, have 3 daughters and live in the Earlysville area of Albemarle County.

Aaron Manis is native to the area and was raised to believe in and derive satisfaction from helping people and working with them to establish their own goals and find a means to success. For Aaron that meant years of volunteer service to the UVA Medical Center as well as serving the Wintergreen Skiing Program for the disabled. Both facilities honored his effort and energy as Volunteer of the Year for many years running. He brings this effort and energy to his Real Estate career where he also works with his clients’ resources, goals and specific needs. Aaron lives in Western Albemarle with his wife Catherine, and son Carter.

Sue Raupp

Sue Raupp, having over 20 years in the real estate business, has seen the market cycle before and knows that patience is the key. Sue also can totally empathize with her clients. Having spent 23 years as the spouse of a member of the active military that included over 19 moves, she truly understands all the ups and downs of the moving experience. “ I have several degrees and a number of real estate designations, but I don’t think anything serves me better than my having been in my clients’ shoes many times.” Sue knows the market and buying process.

She is married to Lloyd, who after active duty retirement began working at NGIC. Their older son, Chris. works at the University of Virginia and spends all his free time doing Special Olympics sports. Their younger son, Peter, lives in Charleston, WVA, where he is an attorney. He and his wife, Valerie, have two children.

Raised in the nearby Shenandoah Valley, Charles first arrived in Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia and train as an Air Force Officer. He’s stuck around ever since, marrying his high school sweetheart, cultivating a beard, and settling down in the Fry’s Spring area. Specializing in residential sales and property management, Charles is proud to join Sloan Milby Real Estate Partners following his years as a property management professional. He looks forward to assisting area buyers, sellers, renters and landlords with the challenges prevalent in today’s real estate market, including the patience-trying ordeals surrounding short-sales and foreclosures. Lisa Lyons graduated from the University of Virginia in 2000 with a degree in Economics while also playing on the basketball team. Upon graduating, Lisa spent time working as an investment banker in New York City. She has held real estate licenses in Maryland, Washington, DC, Idaho and Virginia and has represented buyers and sellers for all types of properties including condos, new construction homes, old charmers, and much more. She and her husband, Greg, who also played basketball at UVA, have settled in Charlottesville with their two young children, Connor and Katie. The family can often be found at UVA sporting events, various wineries, and out and about enjoying all that Charlottesville has to offer. Lisa believes in truly representing her clients’ best interests and has based her real estate career on that principle since the beginning.

Pat Wood has been a Realtor since 1973, having worked in Mantoloking, NJ and Hilton Head, SC prior to moving back to her native Charlottesville in 1999. Over her years in real estate, Pat has taken pride in her working relationships and service to her sellers and buyers. She treasures the many friendships she has made. As a Realtor, Pat has experienced many ups and downs in the real estate market but feels optomistic about its future and improvements for the better.
